About
The Neuro Initiative focuses on providing students with unique opportunities to explore neuroscience and cognitive health. We empower students by offering educational resources, expert interviews, and real-world experiences. Through our community-focused approach, we aim to foster curiosity, raise awareness, and promote understanding about neurological conditions and mental wellness.
Siya Khurana is The Neuro Initiative’s founder and president. Siya is from California, in the United States. She loves to run and listen to music!
Mabel Thomas is both the vice president and director of publicity of The Neuro Initiative. She is from California, USA. Mabel enjoys running cross country, and participates in track and field in her field time.
Sid Maddur is the director of technical development here at The Neuro Initiative. He lives in Manitoba, Canada. Sid enjoys not only eating sushi, but also playing the alto saxophone.
Arushi Maheshwari is the director of fundraising at The Neuro Initiative. She is from California, USA. She plays three different instruments, and her comfort food is chicken biryani.
Janice Tan is the director of event management at The Neuro Initiative. She is from Fremont, California, USA. She loves ducks and running, and is interested in interior design.
Netra Sainath is a community outreach intern at The Neuro Initiative. She lives in Austin, Texas. She loves to sing and has played nine sports before!
Sharon Lui is one of the community outreach interns at The Neuro Initiative. She lives in California, USA. Sharon loves jasmine tea and Rokr wood crafts.
Deeksha Acharya is a publicity intern for The Neuro Initiative. She is from Florida, in the USA. Deeksha loves singing Carnatic music, playing guitar, and creating content. She tends to spend way too much time perfecting small design details. Deeksha loves making content that catches people’s attention and has symbolic meaning.
Sophia Thomas is a publicity intern at The Neuro Initiative. She lives in Fremont, California, in the US. Sophia loves to crochet, walk her dog, and work with kids!
